Computime Key Personel

Computime doesn’t have any full time staff – there’s not enough work for that (yet). All Computime staff spend their week days in other “normal” jobs and then some of their weekends at the track working for Computime. Depending on the race meeting, this often necessitates time off work to be at the track on a Thursday and Friday.

Scott Laing
Computime managing director (which sounds more impressive than it really is). Chief Timekeeper at most meetings, however this is reducing as a result of the number of clash weekends. Full time chartered accountant during the day, Computime administrator during the evening, and timekeeper on the weekends.

Mark Arnold
Computime’s wireless network administrator and equipment provider. Mark has his own IT solutions business – Miark Innovations Pty Ltd. Mark’s at most of the big meetings looking after the technical side of things, and when he’s not – he’s racing Superstock. Sometimes he does both!

Andrew McCallum
With Computime since day 1 (whenever that was). Responsible for writing all the Computime timing programs.

Ruth Souter
Long time Computime team member who started manual lap scoring and key punching manual events many years ago. Still does manual back-up lap scoring and is in charge of transmitter distribution.

Jake Skate
Computime wiz-kid who’s been working with us for seven years (and he’s only 19). Wrote our first web-site when he was 12! Currently looking after the Hartwell Club timing and running the timing system at various other events. Also helping out by writing various add-ons to the timing program.

Colin Rothwell
Long time Computime helper originally associated through the Sandringham Motorcycle Club. Getting back into timing after a long lay-off. Currently looking after the Interclub timing as well as performing roles at other Computime engagements.
